I waited years before buying this, and now after almost a year of having it, I'm here to tell you this could work because it does for me. Of course I found it on social media and questioned it. I'm not sponsored, I'm just a regular person who like you was skeptical. Everyone is different but this wrap is never too tight, it never falls off, sure it shifts but my hair stays in and it feels amazing in the morning. I researched it in reddit and everywhere. I was super skeptical and tried to buy cheaper options which I hated. I am F, in 30s, have medium to long hair, mostly straight/wavy, color treated, and I hate the feeling of going to bed and my hair just being all over the place. Also I sleep hot so waking up sweaty with hair everywhere sucks. No matter what pillow case I use or method I tried my hair would would fall out of it and I'd wake up a mess and I hated it.
So I finally jumped to buy this... And it's the only thing that has worked. I use a method of, brushing my hair with a little oil, tying my hair in a basic braid with a silk tie, putting this over my head, flipping my head over and aligning the tie loop to my forehead, moving my braid from the base of my neck to hang so I when I twist the excess in the front it's secured at the top of my head. After twisting the ends of the wrap I pull them through in the front tie criss crossed and bring them to the back of my neck and tie in a basic knot, sure the ends flop long in the back and it's not how others do it but it works for me. I will say if I don't do it this way, and I was confused at first, the little tie loop will mess up or indent my hair which I feel could be adapted by the makers possibly. This wrap works best for me when my hair is at least gathered in some way inside the wrap not loose.
Also I love that I can hand wash this with a no rinse wash like Eucalan and then roll up like a cashmere sweater in a towel to try and it's literally like brand new. I will say it does stretch out a little which I don't mind. There are some nights where it spins around or isn't perfect but it still stays on and works.
My peace of mind has never been better, I love this as part of my nightly routine, it's an object that is worth it to me, it's so well made and lasts so long with no wear and tear. My hair has never felt softer or cleaner. Even if my hair isn't fully fresh if I put it in this wrap at night it protects it.
If you are skeptical for the price or because so many other wraps DO NOT WORK. THIS ONE DOES. At least for my hair type and my head. I would recommend to anyone and will probably buy more because the craftsmanship is great.

O/S = One size for all hair types. From short and straight hair, to long and voluminous. Fits all adult female face shapes (approx. 20''-24''). FOR BED Wear the Fold over your head and hair keeping the elastic at the back of your neck. Pull out the Fold up encasing all your hair twist away the excess fabric. Seal the Fold and thread the ties through the Paradisefold tag loop to control tightness. Tie in a bow or as desired.
For best results leave your hair out - with this Fold you'll never have a hair-tie kink again. Ensure the tag loop covers the roots of your hair.
