What your wardrobe says about your day

The way we dress is never just about clothes - it’s about how we feel. Fabrics, colours, and textures all carry energy with them, shaping the tone of our day. And few fabrics adapt to these shifts quite like silk. How colour sets the rhythm Research shows that colour is more than just a visual choice - it’s an emotional one. Warm, saturated hues can lift confidence and energy, while cooler, muted shades often bring calm and grounding. Even small touches can shift how you feel: a bright silk wrap on a grey day, or softer tones when you need focus. How seasons shape us Just as our moods shift, so too does the rhythm of the year. Caring for your body, season by season

Did you know that our skin and hair don’t stay the same throughout the year? Just like the weather changes, so do our bodies - and the rituals that nourish them need to adapt too. Research shows that humidity, UV exposure, and even indoor heating affect our skin’s barrier and our hair’s strength. In summer, for example, the skin tends to produce more oil while the sun weakens hair protein and fades colour. What we’re learning about hair this season

There’s always something new to learn about our hair, our routines, and ourselves which is why this September, we’re going Back to Hair School with none other than Ian Carmichael, the late Queen’s hairdresser of 25 years and now part of the Trevor Sorbie team. With decades of experience, Ian has seen it all, and he shared his wisdom with us in a conversation that’s equal parts practical and inspiring. In our first chat, Ian reminded us that one of the biggest salon complaints is dehydrated hair. From climate shifts to heat styling, our strands are constantly under stress - but caring for them doesn’t have to be complicated.  One of our community members, Layla, opened up about her curly hair...

“I never really knew what to do with my hair...”

When summer’s in full swing, your hair goes through a lot more than you realise. Sun exposure, sweat, chlorine, saltwater, and endless product buildup - sometimes it feels like your strands just give up halfway through July. But hair care isn’t just about the way we look on the outside. The way we treat our hair affects how we feel on the inside - and that inner confidence can change how we show up to the world. It’s a loop: healthy, cared-for hair lifts our mood, and a confident mind naturally makes us want to care for ourselves more. That’s why we wanted to share a few tips and reminders this season, especially for anyone trying to care for their...
